Barcelona player Alex Song is certain not to return to the Nou Camp when his loan spell with West Ham expires at the end of the season, with his contract at the club also set to run out when the current campaign finishes.
However, he could be set for an extended spell in the Premier League, after it was revealed that Liverpool are a shock potential destination for the 27 year old former Arsenal player, as reported by fichajes.net.
Song has impressed since moving to the Hammers towards the end of the transfer window, and it seems as though his displays have caught the eye of Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers.
In fact, Liverpool were apparently keen on Song during the summer, but chose instead to invest their money on a replacement for Luis Suarez, which forced him to accept a loan move to West Ham instead.
They could, however, continue their interest in the summer, especially with Rodgers having been impressed by Song’s displays after his Premier League return.
