Expert: Man Utd Will Not Be Able To Re-sign Mega Star This Summer

Manchester United will not be able to resign Cristiano Ronaldo this summer, despite the player being interested in a move and the Old Trafford club possessing the financial clout to make the deal happen, as reported by the Daily Star.

This is the opinion of Spanish footballing expert Guillem Balague, who is generally quite well informed about transfers in the Iberian nation.

Man Utd are reportedly very keen to bring Ronaldo back to his old stomping grounds.

There was a belief that the deal was possible, although it would take a huge cash incentive for Real to consider selling their star.

It was thought that a bid in the region of £80 million could tempt Real into selling, and that Ronaldo would join for a contract worth about £20 million in wages annually.

However, Balague is adamant that the switch will not take place, even if the financial terms could be agreed upon.

Balague said: “I know for a fact Real Madrid will not let Cristiano go this summer, no way.

“It doesn’t matter that Manchester United have the finances to get him, it doesn’t matter that Cristiano is thinking of coming back – Real Madrid won’t let him go.”
