Club Hero: Man Utd & Arsenal Targeted £55M Hot Shot Could Leave

Former Paris Saint Germain hero Jerome Rothen has said that he does not believe that current club striker Edinson Cavani will be with the French side for much longer, putting the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United on red alert, as reported by the Daily Express.

Cavani has never truly looked settled since joining PSG last summer from Napoli.

While he moved for a huge fee of £55 million, it has never seemed as though the price tag was a particular issue in him settling at his new club.

Instead, his use in the side, often on the right side of an attacking three, has made it difficult for him to replicate his stunning form of the past.

Arsenal and Man Utd have both been said to be interested in him in the past, which means that both Premier League giants could take advantage of the fact that he is supposedly unsettled to agree a deal.

Rothen said: “He [Cavani] may yet succeed in Paris, but his performance will be almost the same.

“Everything depends on the tactical choices of Laurent Blanc. However, I do not see him staying long in Paris. If he repeats his desire to start, the club does not hold onto him.”
