Man Utd Blow As £60M Mega Star Declares Happiness At Current Club

Manchester United have been dealt a huge blow in their chase for Cristiano Ronaldo, after the Real Madrid star admitted that he was happy to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu, as reported by the Daily Mirror.

The Old Trafford club have been repeatedly linked with a move for the stunning forward in recent weeks, with Ronaldo having recently suggested that he would like to return to Manchester before his career is over.

As a result, Man Utd fans recently chose to fly a banner over El Madrigal when Real visited Villarreal, with the hope that their message of ‘Come home Ronaldo’ would encourage their former star to return.

When asked by the press about his reaction to the banner, however, Ronaldo admitted he had seen it, but felt as though he was happy in Madrid and had no interest in moving away.

When asked if he had seen it, Ronaldo said: “How could I not see that plane? It flew past 10 times.”

“I always said that I have a family to Manchester but I’m good in Madrid.

“I’m glad of the affection that United fans have for me, it means that I have left good memories.”

Man Utd were believed to have put aside £60 million to facilitate Ronaldo’s switch.
