Liverpool And Man Utd To Battle Over Brazilian Star – reports

Liverpool and Manchester United are ready to battle over Barcelona’s Brazilian star Dani Alves, with the right back thought to be keen on a move away from the Nou Camp in the near future, as reported by the Daily Star.

Reports in Portugal suggest that the player would be keen on a move to the Premier League, should he follow through on his intention to depart the world famous Catalan club.

His six year spell at Barca has been laden with trophies, with the right back having won two Champions Leagues, four La Liga crowns and two Copa del Rey winner’s medals.

He is now hoping to make the transition to England, and bring his level of extreme success with him.

He told Portuguese daily O Globo: “Next season I will be playing in England.

“This is my last season at Barca. I want to play at the home of football.”

Both Liverpool and Man Utd are thought to be possible destinations, with Liverpool especially keen on improving upon current option Glen Johnson, whose contract expires at the end of the current season anyway.
