Arsenal Blow As Liverpool Agree £38M Fee For Sensational Striker – reports

Arsenal have been dealt a huge blow in their chase for French international striker Karim Benzema, after it was reported that Liverpool have agreed a £38 million fee for the striker to move to Anfield, as reported by the Daily Star.

The Real Madrid man has been consistently linked with a switch from the Santiago Bernabeu club, with the summer months seeing links to both Liverpool and Arsenal.

Reports at the time suggested that the player himself was keen on a switch.

However, with both Arsenal and Liverpool thought to be interested, the rumours dried up after Benzema signed a new five year contract with the Champions League winners in July.

Benzema is thought to be unsettled now, however, and reports from Spain believe that Brendan Rodgers has agreed that the player can be signed for £38 million, which would provide his profligate front line with a significant boost in January.
