Reports: Livepool And Man Utd To Wage War Over £34M Star

Liverpool and Manchester United are set to do battle over the signature of Benfica’s wing wizard Eduardo Salvio, as reported by the Daily Express.

The Argentina international is in high demand across Europe, having impressed considerably over the last two seasons since joining Benfica, the Portuguese giants.

The likes of AC Milan, Hamburg, Monaco and Valladolid are all interested in his signature during the winter window.

However, according to Portuguese outlet A Bola, Liverpool and Man Utd are both also interested in the star.

They are not, however, the favourites for his signature, with Milan thought to be leading the chase, having watched him as Benfica won 3-2 against Estoril.

Having begun his career with Argentinian side Lanus, Salvio moved to Atletico Madrid before joining Benfica on a permanent basis in 2012.

The likes of Spurs, Arsenal and Manchester City have all been linked with Salvio in the past, and as a result, Benfica demanded a £34 million fee for the 24 year old.
