Revealed: Man Utd Legend’s Plea For £60M Megastar To Return

Manchester United’s legendary manager Alex Ferguson has made a sensational plea to Cristiano Ronaldo to return to Old Trafford, as reported by the Daily Express.

While Man Utd fans surprisingly flew a banner over the Estadio El Madrigal on Saturday, where Ronaldo was playing, asking him to return, it now seems as though the retired Scottish manager has been recruited to aid his return.

It had been thought that Ed Woodward would turn to the serial trophy winner to convince a player that he mentored to return to the club, and it now seems as though that has occurred.

Respected football agent Francois Gallardo is now suggesting that this is the case, having spoken to French tabloid Le 10 Sport.

It remains unclear as to whether this had an impact on Ronaldo’s thinking, but it has been suggested that he would not be particularly opposed to a move.

Much relies on his agent, Jorge Mendes, who has seemingly fallen out with Real Madrid’s hierarchy.

Gallardo said: “On Wednesday Cristiano received a call from Ferguson [about returning to United].

“He was he was happy at Real Madrid but the whole transfer depends on Jorge Mendes.”

A fee of £60 million is thought to be necessary to tempt Ronaldo back to Old Trafford.
