26-Year-Old Leeds Utd Star Hit By Two Game Ban

Leeds United star Gaetano Berardi has been hit by a two game suspension for his two bookings against Huddersfield Town at the weekend, as confirmed by the Football Association.

Berardi has suffered the longer suspension due to his sending off against Accrington Stanley in the League Cup, a violent tackle with little prompt that took him out for several games.

While the Swiss right back has had solid displays when he has played, discipline has been an issue, and it is questionable as to whether he can be relied upon to not get himself sent off.

The suspension should see Sam Byram restored to the first team for the clash with Brentford at the weekend, although Byram has also had his own problems with suspensions this season.

He was red carded for allegedly head butting an opponent against Watford, which saw him suspended for three matches. Byram lost his position in the first team to Berardi as a result.
