New Leeds Head Coach Confirms Role For Redfearn

New Leeds United head coach Darko Milanic has confirmed a role for Neil Redfearn in his new setup, as reported by West Yorkshire Sport on BBC Radio Leeds.

The now former Caretaker boss will take up a position in the dugout during games, mirroring the role he played under former manager of the club Brian McDermott.

Redfearn impressed significantly during his recent spell on the touchline with the first team, going undefeated over a four game spell.

Within that run, he won three of his games. A victory against Bolton Wanderers prior to the international break saw him start off well.

This was followed up with a draw against Birmingham City away from home.

From there, Leeds managed an unexpected 3-1 win against Bournemouth on the south coast, with the time hitting full fluidity.

They then romped to a 3-0 win against local rivals Huddersfield Town at Elland Road, with Rudy Austin, Mirko Antenucci and Souleymane Doukara all scoring.

This impressive run will have contributed to Redfearn’s new role, something Massimo Cellino seemed to demand in an interview with the Yorkshire Evening Post.
