Man Utd Boss Preaches Patience To 19 Year Old Starlet

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has preached the value of patience with regards to his young charge Adnan Januzaj, with the youngster having featured infrequently since the start of the new season, as reported by the Daily Star.

The 19 year old exploded onto the scene last season, making a real impact as the rest of the side around him struggled to impress. Of those who featured during the Moyes era, Januzaj was one of few to emerge with any consistent credit, with his displays exceedingly impressive given the amount of pressure placed upon his inexperienced shoulders.

Van Gaal seems less keen to use him on a regular basis, however, and Januzaj has seen the likes of Angel Di Maria and Radamel Falcao join the squad, both of whom are able to play in his preferred position. It seems unlikely that he will be able to force his way back into the first team any time soon.

The Dutch manager has, however, offered his explanation, and said that, given time, Januzaj could still shine, saying: “He has to compete with very good players.

“That’s the reason he hasn’t started yet.

“You can’t put 15 players in the squad, only 11.
