Man Utd Look To Avoid Paul Pogba Repeat By Tying 18-Year-Old To New Deal – reports

Manchester United are hoping to avoid a repeat of the situation that saw Paul Pogba leave the club on a free transfer by offering Andreas Pereira a new deal with the club, after his surprise inclusion on the bench against Queens Park Rangers this weekend, as reported by the Daily Star.

The 18 year old took a place on the Old Trafford club’s bench this weekend, but the club have been recently burned by young talents leaving the club as a result of being unwilling to sign a new deal.

Pogba departed the club having complained about a lack of first team opportunities under Alex Ferguson, and he has since gone on to establish himself as one of the best midfielders in world football, helping Juventus to a succession of trophies since signing for them.

Pereira has only a year remaining on his current contract, and the club are worried that he will depart for nothing at the end of that.

He is the son of Brazilian player Marcos Pereira, and joined the Manchester club from PSV Eindhoven in 2012.
