Arsenal Squad Destroyed By Injury Ahead Of Dortmund Clash

Arsenal’s injury crisis has got even worse ahead of their clash with Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League, as Nacho Monreal and Mathieu Debuchy have both been ruled out of the important tie against the Bundesliga giants, as reported by the Daily Express.

Debuchy, who has impressed since moving to Arsenal from Newcastle United this summer, has been ruled out for a significant period of time after suffering ankle ligament damage during the north London club’s clash against Manchester City at the weekend. The Gunners went on to draw that game 2-2, impressing against the Premier League champions.

Nacho Monreal has also not travelled to Germany, putting Arsenal’s defence at a maximum stretch.

The situation could be worsened, with Calum Chambers having missed training on Monday morning. Chambers is expected to fill in at full back.

Should he not be fit, Arsene Wenger will be forced to turn to youngster Hector Bellerin, who recently broke the speed record at the club.

  1. Destroyed by Wenger’s failure to bring in more defensive cover, once again le fraud fails to strengthen the squad in key errors take a bow you clown

    1. a clown indeed. one wonders what he wants to do with the money he is saving instead of strengthening the team. it doesn’t need a rocket scientist to see that we need a defensive midfielder and a cetral defender. the arsenal season ends now because that stingy sturbon Wenger decides to keep the money
