Redfearn: Other Clubs Interested In Leeds Utd Stars

Current caretaker manager Neil Redfearn has confirmed that other clubs are sniffing around the Leeds squad in the hopes of bringing players in, as the squad is significantly bloated at the current moment in time, as reported by Adam Pope of BBC Radio Leeds.

Redfearn has been a relative success during his time in charge of the club, although Massimo Cellino today confirmed that this would likely only be on a temporary basis.

Four points from two games is a vast improvement on Dave Hockaday’s record while in charge of the club, with the former Forest Green Rovers boss failing to earn a single point on the road, something Redfearn did with Saturday’s televised 1-1 draw against Birmingham City.

The current squad is filled with players, to the extent that Steve Morison is currently turning out for the club’s Under-21 side. There remain questions over whether suitable destinations can be found for those players who clearly will not be involved in the first team any time soon.

  1. Thanks to Bates/Harvey and Colin, then GFH and Brian, we are saddled with a bunch of over-paid has-been duds that nobody else in their right mind would be interested in.
If I were Morison, Tonge, Norris, Hunt etc I’d be happy seeing out my contract “earning” a normal bloke’s yearly wages every month for doing sweet FA.
I think we’re stuck with them, unfortunately which must be killing Massimo.
