4th Time Lucky? Spurs And Arsenal To Go To War For Midfield Maestro – reports

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly plotting yet another bid for Southampton’s midfield machine Morgan Schneiderlin, their fourth since the transfer window opened this summer, as reported by the Daily Mirror.

The Saints have already been defiant in rejecting three bids for their important midfielder, but Spurs feel as though they can secure the signing of a player who developed considerably during current Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino’s time at the south coast club.

Southampton have previously suggested that it would cost a club more than the fee that took Luke Shaw to Old Trafford to sign Schneiderlin, which means the north London club would be looking at a fee of over £27 million to sign him.

It will not be easy for Spurs, however, as city rivals Arsenal are also known to be interested, with Arsene Wenger thought to be a big fan of the Southampton player.

However, there is no indication that Southampton are keen to sell, and Ronald Koeman sees him as a key part of his side, who currently sit fourth in the league.

  1. Why move to norf lundun when he has such a bright future on the south coast. Morgan stated last week that he is more than happy with the direction that sfc are headed and the ambition shown with the appointment of RK and the new players.
PS Thank you to spurs and liverhampton for making this happen and I hope you enjoy, with the exception of Rickie Lambert a saints legend, our rejects.

  2. aha Graham nicely put, we will finish above Arsenal and Tottenham this season much to their fury, hell we might even finish above Liverpool, we are looking good. Now that would make my year !!
