Chelsea And Man Utd To Be Warned Off £60m World Class Star – reports

Real Madrid are set to publicly declare that both Chelsea and Manchester United have no chance of signing Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo and taking him away from the Santiago Bernabeu, as reported by The Independent.

Ronaldo and his agent have both suggested that the player would be interested in a move away from the Champions League winner, with the player somewhat unsettled at his club. This is a result of a series of signings this summer that have made his wages seem less impressive relative to the rest of the top talents in world football.

Man Utd themselves have played a key role in the wage inflation that Ronaldo is now jealous of, with Wayne Rooney surpassing Ronaldo in his new contract last season. Both Radamel Falcao and Angel Di Maria are also believed to earn more than the player who was officially regarded as the best in the world last year.

A Spanish insider said: “This is all about money. Cristiano considers himself to be one of the world’s greatest players and doesn’t want to be paid less than anyone else, no matter who they play for.

“But Madrid are in no mood to let him go and will almost certainly end up giving him whatever he wants. He’s too important for them to let go.”
