Spurs Set To Sign 10 Goal Brazilian Sensation – reports

Tottenham Hotspur are set to sign Brazilian striker Jonas on a short term deal after the former Valencia man turned down a possible move to Europa League finalists Benfica, as reported by The Metro.

Despite being without a club since leaving Spanish side Valencia at the end of last season, Jonas was not keen on a move to the Portuguese giants, knowing that a move to White Hart Lane was on the cards.

Reports in Portugal say that negotiations have taken place between Spurs and the player, and, having snubbed a move to Benfica, who offered him an 11th hour option, Jonas is now bound for a move to Spurs.

The north London club are lacking in options for strikers, and now seem set to turn to the man who has been capped eight times by Brazil.

With the forward looking for around £25,000 a week, Spurs are looking to bring him in on a short term deal.

Jonas scored 10 goals in his 20 games for Valencia last season.

  1. We have two spaces in the squad but only have 6 home grown players over age of 21 so cant fill those two slots with “foreign” players.

    1. Yep we have completely stuffed this transfer window in terms of striking options – only thing I see is we sign him, loan him out til Jan to part cover wages – see how performs then bring back in. Other than that wont happen.
