Liverpool Boost After Tricky 22-Year-Old Target’s Agent Hints At January Move

Liverpool could target their summer interest Xherdan Shaqiri again in the coming January transfer window, with the player’s agent suggesting that the Swiss superstar is interested in leaving his current club, Bayern Munich, in the winter window, as reported by The Metro.

Shaqiri is considered to be one of the best young wingers in Europe, but has failed to establish himself in Bayern’s first team since moving there from Basel two seasons ago. With Arjen Robben ahead of him on his preferred right wing, opportunities have been limited for the diminutive trickster.

The 22 year old was heavily linked with a switch to Merseyside this summer, and there has been an admittance that the Reds made bids for him. He opted to stay, however.

His agent has not left it there, however, and feels as though the player will need to reassess his future come January, depending on his involvement at the Bundesliga champions over the coming months.

Erdin Shaqiri said: “Now he was not released, but there is a repeat in the winter, and we will look at how many games Xherdan will have played by then.”
