Barcelona have confirmed that former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez will feature in the first El Classico of the new La Liga season, with the game set to take place on Saturday 25th October, one day after the striker’s extensive ban finishes, as reported by AS English.

Suarez was banned for an extended period after his actions at the summer World Cup, when he responded to a tussle with Italy’s Giorgio Chiellini by seemingly biting the Italian defender.
Uruguay went on to win that important clash with the European side 1-0, securing their progress from a group that also featured England, but Suarez was swiftly banned from all footballing activity for four months by FIFA.
