England Star Set To Miss Out On Man Utd’s Next Game – Reports

Manchester United defender Phil Jones could miss the Old Trafford club’s coming match against Queens Park Rangers after suffering a suspected hamstring injury in last night’s England match against Switzerland, as reported by the Daily Star.

England won the match 2-0, with new Arsenal star Danny Welbeck belying his previous finishing to score both of the Three Lions’ goals, but manager Roy Hodgson had to deal with starting talent Phil Jones suffering an injury towards the end of the game, which forced him to come off. He was replaced by Everton captain Phil Jagielka in the 77th minute.

Jones is set to fly back to England with the rest of the squad today, but the 22 year old will have to face a scan to determine the extent of his injury, and whether he will miss out on Man Utd’s match against QPR.

The England international has started all three of Man Utd’s Premier League games thus far this season, but, despite significant pre-season optimism, Louis van Gaal’s side are still looking for a first win of the season in any competition.
