Man Utd Eye Up 21-Year-Old €18m Rated Midfielder

Manchester United are eyeing up the signature of Valencia midfielder Andre Gomes, but they face competition from their rivals Manchester City if they want to bring him to the Premier League, as reported by Soccer News.

Soccer News refer to Superdeporte as reporting the news, and the highly rated midfielder might be difficult to capture from Los Che, due to his importance to the side.

Gomes is currently owned by Peter Lim’s investment company, with Lim expected to soon takeover Valencia and pump his millions into the club.

Superdeporte are saying that both Man Utd and City submitted offers during the summer transfer window for the 21-year-old, but neither bid was successful. They were rejected by Lim as he wanted to use him at Valencia.

Gomes has enjoyed a good start in La Liga since moving there as part of Lim’s purchase from Benfica for €15 million, and this could cause both clubs to reignite their interest in January.
