£12m Chelsea Targeted Midfield Maestro’s Agent Denies Interest In Move

Fredy Guarin, who has been consistently linked with a move to Chelsea and Manchester United this summer, looks like he will not be on the move from Inter Milan this summer after his agent denied any interest in the player departing the San Siro, as reported by the Daily Mail.

Guarin, who has also been interesting the winners of last year’s Champions League, Real Madrid, had been said to be keen on a move away from the San Siro ahead of the new season. An intended transfer to the winners of last season’s Scudetto, Juventus, fell apart in January, leaving Guarin to be supposedly unsettled at Inter Milan.

His agent, Marcelo Ferreyra, has, however, said that the Colombian international is fine with his life at Inter and has no immediate intention of pushing through a move.

Ferreyra said: “I want to make it clear that Guarin never requested a transfer.

“Fredy is happy at Inter, always has been and will continue to be. We are absolutely not thinking about the transfer market.

“Fredy has everything he wants at Inter and has no need to go elsewhere. From what I hear, the offers were received by Inter. Walter Mazzarri will get the best out of him, just as he did last year.”

Having signed a contract extension in March, keeping him at Inter until 2017, it now seems as though the midfield playmaker, said to be available for only £12 million, will remain in Italy for the foreseeable future.
