Manchester United have reportedly denied any interest in either Juventus’s Arturo Vidal or Sporting Lisbon’s William Carvalho, as reported by Daniel Taylor of The Guardian.
Latest info from #MUFC – and always reluctant to post these – is that there will be nothing happening with them and Vidal/Carvalho

The Old Trafford club have been consistently linked with a move for Vidal, who would cost around £40m, throughout the summer, and he was seen as the ideal candidate to resolve their woeful midfield. While interest seemed to cool a few months ago, recent rumours suggested that Louis van Gaal, the recently appointed manager, had resumed his interest in the Chilean international. That no longer seems to be the case.
Carvalho, worth £24m, on the other hand, is a relatively recent link, but has also been interesting Arsenal throughout the window. The midfielder is cut from a slightly different cloth to Vidal, but would still offer a genuine force in the middle of the park that Man Utd are lacking heavily.
The Manchester side have failed to win any of their opening three games of the season, with Tuesday’s 4-0 loss against MK Dons representing a complete embarrassment for the club. William Grigg and Benik Afobe scored a brace apiece.
And just after Vidal tweets that he is 100% ready to start the seaon, Forza Juve etc etc… interesting…..
