Classy Arsenal And Chelsea Targeted Contract Rebel Available For Cut Price – Reports

Chelsea and Arsenal could take advantage of Sami Khedira’s contract situation at Champions League winners Real Madrid to ensnare the midfield magician on a cut price deal, as reported by the Daily Star.

The German international, who won the World Cup with his national team in Brazil this summer, sees his contract expire at the end of the coming season. Khedira is very unwilling to renew the deal with the Spanish giants, and has seemingly targeted a wage bonanza by moving on a free transfer next summer.

There have been consistent links between Chelsea, Arsenal, and Khedira throughout the summer, and the two London clubs are thought to be ahead of the rest of the pack for his signature.

Jose Mourinho, the Chelsea manager, worked with Khedira at Madrid.

Arsene Wenger is also looking for a new midfield enforcer as he looks to make the north London club a stronger side, with Wenger casting an eye on a concerted Premier League title push ahead of the new season.

With Real now concerned about losing him for nothing next summer, they are set to lower their £24 million asking price to avoid him departing on a free transfer.
