Leeds Agree Personal Terms With 24 Goal French Starlet – Report

Ligue 2 star Andy Delort has reportedly agreed personal terms with Leeds United, with the Tours man on the cusp of a move to the Yorkshire club, according to reports in French outlet Made In Foot.

The club now need to reach an agreement with Tours over the transfer, according to the article.

Leeds have lacked a prolific striker since the departure of Ross McCormack, who moved to Championship rivals Fulham for £11 million in early July. While they have signed Souleymane Doukara, there are questions over their strike force’s capability to score the required goals this season.

Delort would be a significant improvement, having scored 24 goals in only 36 games for Tours last season in Ligue 2. The 22-year-old is also young enough to progress, and could be seen as a positive addition.

Leeds won their final pre-season game at Elland Road yesterday against Dundee United, winning 2-0. Their goals came from Steve Morison and Dominic Poleon.

The Whites face Millwall in their first game of the new season next Saturday, with new head coach Dave Hockaday taking charge of his first competitive game.
