Arsenal Boss Expects More Transfer Business Before Deadline

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has said that he expects the club to continue on carrying out transfer business over the rest of the summer window, as reported by the club’s official Twitter account.

The Gunners have been incredibly active in the market this summer, given their recent seasons, signing Alexis Sanchez, Mathieu Debuchy and Calum Chambers for significant fees already this summer. They have also added World Cup hero goalkeeper David Ospina.

The north London club have consistently been linked to new additions this summer, and are apparently on the cusp of adding Juan Fernando Quintero from Porto, one of the highest rated young players in world football currently.

They have also been linked with Real Madrid’s Sami Khedira and Southampton’s Morgan Schneiderlin, with Wenger clearly targeting another defensive midfielder to improve the club’s squad.

Wenger has since suggested that the club will add further players.

He told the press: “I’m very happy [with our business] and I’m still open to do more.”

“I think August 15 to 30 will be busy again.”

Sanchez today trained with his new teammates for the first time, ahead of the Emirates Cup.
