Spanish Giants End Hopes Of Quick Man Utd Move For Wing Wizard

Barcelona have expressed an interest in Fiorentina’s Colombian international Juan Cuadrado, ending hopes from Manchester United that they would receive a quick response to their £28 million bid for the winger, as reported by the Daily Express.

The newspaper suggests that the Old Trafford club was expecting a quick reply to their move, but interest from the Catalan giants has caused Fiorentina to consider their decision for longer.

The Italian club are now hopeful of putting together an auction for the wide player, and believe they could now cause a price rise to more than £30 million.

Barcelona have been fans of Cuadrado for a long time, and he was one of the standout players from the World Cup, with his pace, power and speed aiding in his displays.

He is also on minimal wages in Italy, only half a million pounds annually, which would rise significantly if he moved to a bigger club.

Cuadrado is expected to return from his post World Cup holiday shortly, which will make a decision even more likely in the near future.

Louis van Gaal is a known admirer, given his performances at the World Cup and versatility on the pitch.

Should he sign, Cuadrado would become Man Utd’s third signing of the summer.

  1. I don’t know who to blame for mufc failure to sign more players, Louis Van gaal or Ed Woodward? Pls need someone to rescue our great football Club!

  2. Time is running and would come to last year state;scouting, wait to offer, then have rivals, beaten by rivals, and finally lose player.
If UTD really need this player ,go all out for HIM and offer 5 million more to beat the Catalans
