Origi bagged in the 88th minute to give the European side a 1-0 win against Russia.

The Belgian international passed a medical with the Merseyside team on Friday, having joined them on their United States tour, and would become their fifth signing of the summer, after the captures of Emre Can, Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana and Lazar Markovic.

Origi was also joined in Boston by Loic Remy, who is likely to confirm a move to Liverpool shortly, and they are also expected to sign Dejan Lovren from Southampton.

Adam Lallana has suffered an injury in training and is expected to miss the start of the new season.

  1. There are a lot of Belgian players choosing for the Premier League. Good to see that Belgian football is becoming much better nowadays. Hopefully for the English competition they will focus more on English youth instead of foreign players, which will give the national team also the chance of having a successful generation again.

  2. He’s a wonderful signing and a true future world football star. Origi will prove to be addition come next year given the style of play and type of players Rodgers is bringing in.

  3. Thank you Rogers and assistants for making this happen, if we are to trust what is reported here. As for the remaining possible signings, please make sure Lovren, Moreno, Reus and/or Gaetan deals are completed by next week so that they can have time to train the group and the players to be able familiarise with fellow lads and staff before new EPL season kicks off mid next month.
