Leeds United Line Up Move For Former Premier League Wonderkid

Leeds United are reportedly lining up a move for former Aston Villa man Nathan Delfouneso, who was released by the Premier League club this summer, making him available on a free transfer, as reported by Pete O’Rourke of Sky Sports.

Delfouneso, who played for England’s Under-21 national side, was formerly very highly rated, but his career has gone somewhat by the wayside in recent seasons. He was expected to do big things with his career, but has achieved little since entering the professional game.

The 6 foot 1 inch striker scored two goals in 29 games for the Midlands club. His most successful period came at Blackpool in the Championship, when he scored six goals in 41 games for the northern club while on loan between 2012 and 2013.

Leeds have also reportedly missed out on the signing of Federico Viviani of AS Roma, with his agent having flown back to Rome after a failure to agree a deal. Viviani was reportedly unimpressed with Leeds’s display in their 2-0 loss against Mansfield Town in their pre-season clash earlier this week.

  1. Find it hilarious that our pathetic display against Mansfield made Viviani realise what he was letting himself in for………lol

  2. Every signing worries me more that MC is no different to the rest at least last year we bought some players I had heard of.

So far we’ve been told we had £15m and he wasn’t using the RM money, anyone else see more than a million splashed out so far?

Signing this joker who was on loan at Coventry last year and looking at Nile ranger shows us the level of our ambition and that this seasons gonna be a long hard struggle to find 3 teams worse than us

NOT happy at all at the mo and starting to lose confidence in the owner

  3. Ok so no big name signing. So what? Better to have eleven players who play for each other than be a one man team like we were last season. I think we’ve got to be patient and trust Mr Cellino will get it right.

  4. looking at another player on a free,15 million my hairy backside, 5 or 6 players in before the close of the window closes, another dream starting to get worried for us
not to mention our new coach
