Leeds Confirm Signing Of Two Italian Talents

Leeds United, hit by the departure of captain Ross McCormack to Fulham, have confirmed the signing of two heavily linked Italian stars.

Massimo Cellino has clarified to Phil Hay, of the Yorkshire Evening Post, that Leeds have signed Italian duo Marco Silvestri and Tommaso Bianchi.

Silvestri is a highly rated goalkeeper, who has played for the Italian Under 21 side in the past. He spent the latter part of last season on loan at Cagliari.

Bianchi is a midfielder, who comes highly recommended for his technical and creative abilities.

Silvestri has signed a four year deal with the Elland Road club, while Bianchi joins for three seasons.

Leeds are currently undergoing a training camp in Italy, and face two pre season friendlies against European opposition over the next week. This will be the first opportunity to see new head coach Dave Hockaday manage Leeds.

Fulham confirmed the signing of McCormack for a reported £11 million earlier today, with Leeds fans on social media questioning the future of the funds and whether they’ll be invested in the team.
